Resirene*
The headquarters are in Mexico City and the two manufacturing facilities producing GPPS, HIPS and SPECIALTIES are located in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz and in Sto. Toribio Xicohtzinco, Tlaxcala. These plants have a combined capacity of 150,000 tons per year. Also, the Tlaxcala plant produces color concentrates, polymer compounds and polystyrene sheet. This is an additional capacity of 10,000 tons per year. The facilities operate continuously year round.
Polystyrene
Polystyrene is a strong resin created from ethylene and benzine that can be injected, extruded or blow molded, making it a very useful and versatile manufacturing material. Polystyrene is used as a building material, with electrical appliances (light switches and plates), and in other household items.
